Prof. Romuald Twardowski from Warsaw (Poland) The head of the Jury.
He is a composer and lecturer born in Vilnius. His composing studies in Warsaw Academy
of Music in years 1957-60 in Bolesław Woytowicz class. In year 1963 and 1966 he studied Gregorian chant and medieval polyphony in Nadia Boulanger class in Paris.
He is a laureate of many prizes and distinctions. His composition “Antifone per tre gruppi d’orchestra” (1961) won 1st prize of Polish Young Composers competition, and in year 1963
he took 2nd place in year 1963 in International Composers meetings of UNESCO
in Paris;
in year 1966 for his “Sonetti di Petrarca per tenore solo e due cori a cappella” (1965)
In year 1965 and 1973 he received 1st prize in International Composers’ Competition in Monaco.
In year 1994 he received the prize of AGEC – West European Federation of Choral Societies and the prize of Polish Composers Association. Since 1971 Romuald Twardowski has been the Professor of Warsaw Academy of Music. He is the jury member of many choir competitions and the Artistic Director of prestigious International Festival
of Orthodox Church Music “Hajnówka”.He composed numerous brilliant compositions for choirs, orchestras, soloists and musical ensembles.

Agnes Gerenday from Budapest (Hungary). She graduated at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music
in Budapest as Zoltán Vásárhelyi’s, József Maklári’s, Erzsébet Szõnyi’s, Olivér Nagy’s student,
as a music teacher and a choral conductor. She worked in the folk music research team of the Institute of Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Than she has been a teacher of the Teacher Training College in Zsámbék (Hungary) for five years, where she taught music theory, music history, choral conducting and methodology. Since 1983 she has been employed by the Hungarian Ministry
of Culture, as a music referent. She is a music editor of the Hungarian Radio, a member of the Hungarian Choirs and Orchestras Association (KÓTA) presidium. She is managing director of the Association
of Hungarian Choir Competitions and Festivals. She is the conductor of the Budapest Youth Choir. The choir sings many oratorical and a cappella pieces, gives many concerts in Hungary. They gave highly successful concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Romania and in the Netherlands.
She is also the secretary jury of international choir competitions in Budapest, Riva del Garda, Pohlheim, Gießen, Netanya, Fort Lauderdale.

Toh Ban Sheng from Singapore (Singapore) Starting out essentially as a self-taught musician, the former Physics teacher, against all odds, completed double master degrees in conducting and voice from the USA with the assistance of National Arts Council Bursary. Toh has since established himself as a prominent music educator and carved out a lustrous track record, garnering more than 60 gold awards at international and national competitions. An active member in international choral scene with his choirs, Toh had also sat on jury panels in Europe and written for International Choral Bulletin. Having won 19 champions, 12 special jury prizes and standing ovations with his choirs in Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Poland and Slovakia, he has been honoured with Conductor’s Prizes four times. To date, he has brought his conducting work to many major cities such as London, Paris and Vienna.
At home, Toh has twice won his choirs the highest national accolade of Best Choir of the Year Award. He has also served as a Music Specialist with the Ministry of Education. Among many other appointments received, in 1999 he conducted the 800-strong National Day Parade Combined Choir at the national stadium on live telecast. In recognition of his artistic achievements and contributions in the Singapore music arena, Toh was conferred the Young Artist Award by the National Arts Council in 2006.
Prof. Bernhard Gfrerer from Salzburg (Austria)
He graduated from Mozarteum specilizing
in church music. Since 1987 he has been an organist and choir conductor
at Franciscan Church
in Salzburg. He performed with world famous artists like Placido Domingo,
Jose Carreras and James King.
He gives many concerts in mayor European cities as well as in USA, South America, Russia
and Asia. He is lecturer at master classes in USA, Japan and South America and was Jury member at many international competitions. He made numerous recordings for TV, radio and recording companies.
Marcin Cmiel (Warsaw, Poland)
one of the members who established Choral Society „LIRA” in Warsaw.
In years 1997-2008 deputy conductor of Choral Society LIRA. Since February 2009 he has become the artistic director of Choral Society Lira in Warsaw He graduated from Warsaw Academy of Music in Prof. Ryszard Zimak’s class. For years he cooperated with Warsaw University Choir and Stefan Wysznski University Choir and others. He established and performed with choir Cantemus over 100 concerts.
